Property technology company Goodlord, which provides software and services to transform how people rent, has been backed by some of the UK’s most respected investors in a  GBP10 million Series B round.Goodlord has raised GBP10 million from investors including Latitude Ventures, the Series B+ sister fund to LocalGlobe known for backing scaling European success stories such as Transferwise, Zoopla, Monzo, TravelPerk, and SecretEscapes. This round was also backed by Finch Capital, leaders in the European fintech space, and welcomed Oxx as a new investor. Oxx recently raised USD133 million to back “Europe’s most promising SaaS companies” at Series A and beyond. 
Shoreline Equity Partners (Shoreline), a purpose-driven lower middle market private equity firm, has partnered with management to acquire Engelman Baking Company (Engelman’s).Engelman’s is a wholesale bakery offering a complete line of  artisan breads and rolls ranging from European and hearth breads, Kaiser and twisted egg rolls to specialty dinner rolls and hand-crafted hamburger and hot dog buns. Engelman’s operates a 50,000 sq ft SQF Level II bakery and serves restaurants and entertainment venues in the greater Atlanta Area on a daily and just-in-time basis via local delivery routes as well as national accounts via distribution.  Since being founded by Sammy
LUX Global Label, a portfolio company of Resilience Capital Partners, has acquired Labelworx, a specialist in digital label and packaging. This strategic acquisition broadens the operational capabilities of LUX Global Label, formerly known as National Label, into the high-growth area of digital printing while further diversifying its customer base and markets. Five, a UK-based, self-driving company, has raised USD41 million in a Series B round of equity funding. New investors are Trustbridge Partners, Direct Line Group and Sistema VC. Existing investors Lakestar, Amadeus Capital Partners, Kindred Capital and Notion Capital also participated in the round, which makes Five one of Europe’s best-funded self-driving startups, with USD77 million raised to date. The next decade is expected to bring the widespread roll-out and commercialisation of advanced self-driving technology. Activa Capital and Arkéa Capital have acquired minority stakes in the capital of Ingeliance. On the occasion of this primary MBO, Activa Capital becomes the reference shareholder of the company alongside its founder Jean-François Clédel, its CEO Marc Poullin and the management team. AUA Private Equity Partners’ portfolio company, Gourmet Culinary Partners, has acquired Holiday Foods, and the recruitment of a senior executive management team to lead the integration and execution of the GCP platform.  The GCP senior executive leadership will work closely with existing divisional leadership teams to execute on the company’s regional and national platform. Coutts, the Private Banking arm of NatWest, together with BGF, are working on plans to launch The UK Enterprise Fund to bring additional funding and support to entrepreneurs across the UK. 
The partnership will build on Coutts and BGF’s existing platforms, drawing on the significant scale and financial firepower of the two companies. It will identify and address equity gaps across the whole of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with specific initiatives and programmes for female-led businesses and aimed at increasing the diversity of management teams.

Global private equity firm OpenGate Capital’s portfolio company Duraco Specialty Tapes (Duraco), a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive tapes, has acquired Infinity Tapes, a manufacturer of customised adhesive products, from a private seller. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Infinity Tapes, headquartered in Lawrence, Massachusetts, is a manufacturer of double coated tapes, silicon coated liners and tamper evident products in the transit packaging and industrial end markets. Infinity Tapes has a workforce of approximately 45 employees and will continue to be led by President Craig Allard as a division of Duraco.
