HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets asset manager, has held the final close of its flagship US fund, HarbourVest Fund XI. Clean energy solutions provider, Logan Energy, has secured GBP1 million investment from Kelvin Capital via its International collaboration with Henan Lanxing Power Equipment Co Ltd (Lanxing) to build on its hydrogen technology capabilities and develop operations in the Chinese market.This joint venture with Lanxing will kick off in 2020 and will see Logan Energy perform similar business functions in China to its current hydrogen tech activities throughout the UK and Europe.
Lanxing has invested in Logan Energy’s integration expertise to develop the hydrogen market in China because there is currently no other hydrogen tech specialist like Logan Energy in the

The Foresight Global Real Infrastructure Fund (GRIF) has reached a Net Asset Value of GBP100 million in just seven months following launch in June 2019.The Fund has consistently outperformed its objective of UK CPI +3 per cent over the medium term, through its strategy of investing in renewable energy and infrastructure asset-owning companies. Total return to 31 December 2019 was 14.75 per cent, with a maximum drawdown of just 4.19 per cent since inception, materially lower than Global Equities, Infrastructure indices and other Global Listed Infrastructure Funds.

Private investment group Floreat has invested in Air Lease Corporation’s (ALC) new asset-backed securitisation (ABS).Known as Thunderbolt III, the newly-formed entity (Thunderbolt III Aircraft Lease Limited) will purchase a portfolio of 19 commercial aircraft on operating lease to 18 airlines in 15 countries. The airlines are diversified globally and over half are national flag carriers. Names include Vueling, Air France, China Airlines and Aerolineas Argentinas.
The structure includes two series of fixed rate notes and equity certificates. Floreat is the largest single investor in the equity certificates, with USD25 million invested.

The funding will allow the business to invest in product development as well as its sales and marketing activities to develop its commercial offering and expand its team, creating 14 new jobs in the Manchester region.
Real Handful is a healthy snacking brand that produces a wide range of naturally flavour infused fruit, nut and seed snacks. Products are vegan friendly, high in fibre, and (plant) protein, free from gluten and refined sugars.

The Lakes Distillery, a Cumbrian-based whisky distiller, has secured a GBP4.25 million investment from Comhar Capital, to support its ambitious growth plans.With its investment Comhar Capital has acquired a minority share in the business. The funding will support The Lakes’ ongoing capital investment programme and continued growth in maturing whisky stocks as the business begins to develop internationally.
The Lakes Distillery (The Lakes) was established close to Bassenthwaite Lake in 2011 under the leadership of Nigel Mills and Paul Currie.

Ironwood Capital has exited its subordinated debt and minority equity investment in Bush Industries (Bush) via a sale to Canadian designer and manufacturer of ready-to-assemble home and office furniture, Bestar. Bush, headquartered in Jamestown, New York, is a manufacturer and distributor of commercial and home office furniture. Bush and Bestar have over 130 years of combined history in the Ready-To-Assemble furniture industry and will have consolidated sales of approximately USD200 million.
