Platinum Equity has held the final close of its latest global buyout fund, Platinum Equity Capital Partners V, with USD10 billion in total capital commitments.“We are very grateful for the support of our investors worldwide who have entrusted us with their capital and helped extend our global investment reach,” says Tom Gores, founder, chairman and CEO of Platinum Equity.

TAS Environmental Services (TAS), a portfolio company of Blue Point Capital Partners’ Fund IV has acquired Specialized Waste Systems (SWS) (www.specializedwaste.com), a provider of hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, transportation and washout services.
Ironwood Capital’s portfolio company, precision manufacturer NSA Industries (NSA), has acquired Vitex Extrusions (Vitex), a Franklin, New Hampshire-based manufacturer of metal extrusions. “When we originally invested in NSA in late 2017, the plan was to continue company expansion and diversification through organic growth and strategic acquisitions,” says Alex Levental, Ironwood Capital managing director. “NSA did not have extrusion capability. With the Vitex acquisition, NSA adds to the breadth of its capabilities and expands the company’s sales into the transportation, consumer durable goods, building products, and electrical products end markets.”

RIEMSER operates a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Germany and has direct geographical presence in four of Europe’s five major countries: Germany, United Kingdom, France, and Spain. Over 80 per cent of sales come from the hospital channel, providing specialty treatments and a wide range of pharmaceuticals in therapeutic niche areas.
