Wynnchurch Capital (Wynnchurch) has completed the acquisition of Buchanan Rubber Ltd. (Buchanan).
Buchanan will be part of a growing distribution platform that includes Anderson Metals, LLC (Anderson) and Midland Metal Mfg (Midland).
The platform is a leading North American distributor of valves, fittings, hoses, couplings, and related products to a variety of end-markets.

An affiliate of private investment firm Sun Capital Partners (Sun Capital) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the drive technologies businesses of Regal Beloit Corporation.
The acquired businesses design, engineer and assemble technology-enabled, high performance motor control solutions for industrial applications.
Founded in 1967, the engineered-driven business develops and manufactures variable frequency drive systems and other motor control solutions, with a focus on application-specific, highly engineered products. Ironwood Capital’s portfolio company NSA Industries (NSA) has acquired Metal Tronics, located in Georgetown, Massachusetts. Metal Tronics is a provider of precision metal fabrication and CNC machining solutions.
“One year ago, when Ironwood Capital originally invested in NSA, the company’s plan was to continue expansion and diversification efforts through organic growth and strategic acquisitions,” says Alex Levental, Ironwood Capital managing director. “Since the market for fabrication and CNC machining is highly fragmented with numerous smaller players, the acquisition of Metal Tronics aligns well with NSA’s growth strategy.”

Private equity firm HIG Capital’s (HIG) portfolio company Groupe Ecore (Ecore) has successfully completed a high-yield bond placement. The Group issued EUR255 million in senior secured floating rate notes, with Barclays acting as sole bookrunner.
Established in 1993, Ecore is a leading player in the French metal recycling market. It employs over 1,400 people and recycles and sell 3.7 million tons of materials each year, including more than 3.0 million tons of ferrous metals. AfricInvest, a pan-African mid-cap-focused private equity firm, has held the final close of its North African Fund, Maghreb Private Equity IV (MPEF IV).
The African Development Bank joined the third and final investment round, committing EUR20 million to the fund and taking the fund’s total capital commitments to EUR194 million, in line with the fund’s target size.
MPEF IV is a 10-year fund managed by AfricInvest. It will invest in small and medium enterprises in North Africa (including Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia), looking to take substantial minority stakes. The fund’s strategy will target companies that are well-established
Versa Capital Management has completed the sale of Bell and Howell to Boston-based WestView Capital Partners (WestView).
Founded in 1907 and based in Durham, NC, Bell and Howell is a provider of technology-enabled solutions focused on enhancing communications and e-commerce experiences.
Versa, along with co-investor Access Value Investors, acquired Bell and Howell in 2011, and this sale is the culmination of the successful repositioning and realisation of the investment which included two previous division divestitures in 2017 (BCC Software and Fluence Automation).

Imperative Execution, a financial technology company that created IntelligentCross, a trading venue for institutional investors, has completed a USD9 million Series A round of financing.
The investment round included participation from prominent buy side firms, industry executives and leading venture capital funds. It follows a USD5 million five-investor seed round in 2017 and provides Imperative Execution with funding to grow IntelligentCross, launched in September. IntelligentCross is a smart venue, pioneering the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the venue level. It uses AI-assisted scheduled matching, engineered to reduce market impact – a key implicit cost of trading.

Private equity firm OpenGate Capital has completed the acquisition of a non-core division of Gunnebo Group and renamed the business Fichet Security Solutions (Fichet).
A provider of security products, services and solutions, Fichet has operations in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Recognised as an integrated security solutions provider, Fichet has two production sites and 12 sales branches in France, and a sales office in Luxembourg and Belgium.
