New Vernon Capital will use Gravitas Private Cloud for several core systems.
Gravitas Private Cloud is a secure, scalable and integrated solution built on VCE’s VBlock state-of-the-art virtualisation and cloud technology.
New Vernon Capital’s decision to migrate their infrastructure to the Gravitas Private Cloud provides it with a secure, best-of-breed technology infrastructure while minimising the overall costs and maintenance required when managing an onsite IT environment. The Gravitas Private Cloud will be customised for the specific needs of New Vernon’s business, which will include the configuration of a highly available messaging platform for their production and disaster recovery environments.
In addition to core systems, New Vernon Capital will also consolidate existing physical servers that currently house their proprietary portfolio reporting and accounting systems onto a single, enterprise-class platform. The move to the Gravitas Private Cloud is the latest of many large-scale initiatives Gravitas has completed for New Vernon commencing with its launch in 2004.

Over the course of its relationship with Gravitas, New Vernon has leveraged a wide range of Gravitas’s business offerings across an array of projects. These include implementing Advent’s Geneva, a real-time portfolio management system designed for the alternative investment industry. Gravitas also designed and implemented a data warehouse, which has proved integral to New Vernon’s business, enabling customised reporting from multiple data sources.
