GP Bullhound has acted as financial advisor to InterCloud, a leading Cloud Connectivity platform, on its EUR100 million Series D fundraising round, led by Aleph Capital. Floward has appointed its first independent board member, Nicholas Farhi, as it looks to meet international governance standards.   Floward has grown its revenue by more than 30 times since 2020, and has raised USD34.2 million to date, the latest of which was its Series B funding round of USD27.5 million – led by STV with participation from Impact46 in June 2021. Australian superannuation fund Cbus is looking to boost its private equity exposure via international co-investments, according to a report by Private Equity International. The pension fund, which manages AUD65.6 billion on behalf of Australia’s construction and building unions, currently has a private equity exposure of about 1.9 per cent. Private Equity International quotes Cbus Deputy Chief Investment Officer Brett Chatfield as saying that that allocation is set to be increased as part of a wider portfolio review which the company exacted to complete in June. Axis, the private equity subsidiary of ICO Group, has closed an investment commitment of EUR30 million in Everwood Renewables Europe V FCR, a fund managed by Everwood Capital, which main objective is to develop, build, and operate a portfolio of new renewable projects, mainly photovoltaic plants.   The investment was made through Fond-ICO Infraestructuras, a vehicle aimed at investing in sustainable infrastructure. Asterion Industrial Partners, an independent investment management firm focused on European infrastructure in the mid-market, has held the final close of its second Fund, Asterion Industrial Infra Fund II FCR, with EUR1.8 billion in commitments. The closing of the Fund, which had an initial target of EUR1.35 billion and a hard cap of EUR1.5 billion, comes slightly less than one year after its registration with the regulator (CNMV). Pemberton, an alternative credit specialist, has appointed Olivier Renault as Portfolio Manager and Head of Risk Sharing Strategy. Renault brings over 20 years of experience in structured credit, securitisation and bank capital finance. At Pemberton, he will be responsible for leading its new Risk Sharing Strategy, which sees Pemberton broaden its offering into yet another attractive area of alternative credit.   Pemberton’s new strategy will invest in junior tranches of loan portfolios originated and serviced by banks.
