CORE Industrial Partners (CORE), a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on investing in lower middle market manufacturing, industrial technology, and industrial service companies, has completed the initial listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) of Fathom Digital Manufacturing Corp. (Fathom), a specialist in on-demand digital manufacturing and 3D printing services, through the completion of a business combination with Altimar Acquisition Corp II (Altimar), a special purpose acquisition company.
CenterOak Partners (CenterOak), a Dallas-based private equity firm, and its affiliate CenterOak Equity Fund I, have sold Vivify Specialty Ingredients (Vivify), a supplier of specialty colorants and functional ingredients to customers in the personal care & cosmetics, food & beverage, packaging, plastics, coatings and seed treatment industries. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   Vivify, which serves customers in over 50 countries, offers solutions such as technical product specifications and formulations, sourcing difficult-to-find additives, product quality monitoring, and just-in-time inventory. Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in midmarket companies, has acquired TTG Imaging Solutions, a US provider of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging solutions. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, TTG offers end-to-end solutions for cardiology and oncology customers that use diagnostic imaging equipment. Through a nationwide network of field service engineers, TTG offers equipment, maintenance and repair services, clinical staffing, and radiopharmaceutical products. Chuck Flynn is to retire as Chairman of Bregal Investments’ fund investing arm, Bregal Private Equity Partners (BPEP), with effect from 1 January, 2023. Flynn will continue as Chairman through 2022 while full leadership of BPEP is assumed by Managing Partner, Jan Faber, who has been Chuck’s partner since BPEP was founded in 2004. Bregal also announced on 28 September, 2021 the appointment of Alain Carrier as CEO with effect from 1 January, 2022 and he joined the business in November to ensure there was a period of transition.
A Nordic Capital investment vehicle is exiting its investment in Vizrt Group to a new Nordic Capital-led consortium, comprising a secondary acquisition vehicle and other Nordic Capital investment vehicles. This transaction will allow Nordic Capital, alongside the Vizrt management team, to continue to support the business and its strategy over its next ownership cycle, providing capital to further fuel the strong growth momentum. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. MedKitDoc, a German telemedicine platform, has raised EUR7 million in a seed financing round led by Vorwerk Ventures, Acton Capital, and existing investor Picus Capital. FlixBus founders Daniel Krauss and Jochen Engert are also investing in the fast-growing digital health start-up based in Berlin and Hannoversch Münden.
Elbrus Capital Fund III has acquired a sizeable minority stake in BREFFI, a Russian omnichannel pharma marketing company. The transaction amount was RUB750 million. Most of the funds will be applied by the company towards scaling up its operations and creating new digital products for the healthcare and pharma sectors. Since its inception, the main focus of BREFFI has been promotion of branded pharma products in Russia, primarily through the medical community. Currently BREFFI has over 100 clients, most of which are international pharmaceutical companies operating in Russia. BREFFI’s revenue in 2021 is to exceed RUB500 million.   This is
