Tricor Group (Tricor), an Asian business expansion specialist, has received regulatory approval and completed its acquisition of NZGT Holding Company Limited (NZGT Holdings) together with its wholly owned subsidiaries The New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited (Guardian Trust) and Covenant Trustee Services Limited (Covenant) from Complectus Limited.
Tricor is the largest pure-play corporate services platform in Asia Pacific, serving over 50,000 client entities across its 21-market footprint. NPIF – Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven) and part of the Northern Powerhouse Fund (NPIF), has invested a six-figure funding package in Margin Guardian Ltd (MG), a platform that provides fashion retailers with data insight and targeting services.

AEW, a global real estate investment manager, has launched a new value-add Spanish logistics partnership, RELOG, with EUR150 million of equity commitments from the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and Migdal Insurance.
AEW intends to build RELOG into a large-scale Spanish logistics platform. The initial commitments provide cEUR400 million of investment capital which will target infill and last-mile assets that accommodate the growing demand from retailers and third-party logistics providers for well-located space close to urban populations following a fundamental shift in consumer habits.

Sports and event management business Cube International has secured an investment of GBP3.75 million from the alternative funder BOOST&Co following a series of new account wins.

Adenia Partners, a private equity firm investing in Africa, has partnered with Proparco, the private sector financing arm of Agence Française de Développement Group (AFD Group), to buy Overseas Catering Services (OCS), a corporate catering and related services provider in Africa and the Middle East.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

UK entrepreneurs are leading the way out of the Covid-19 crisis with the number of new businesses created up 15 per cent in the last year, according to ECI Partners, a growth-focused mid-market private equity firm.
According to figures from the ONS, a total number of 405,555 new businesses were created in the UK in 2020/21, compared to 352,575 in 2019/20.
Despite the economic challenges of the pandemic, UK entrepreneurs have shown their resilience and the rise in business creation provides an optimistic outlook for new businesses in the UK.
