Abalos Therapeutics has completed its Series A funding round bringing the total raised in this round to EUR43 million (USD50 million).
The extension was led by Seventure Partners with support from Coparion, Ventura BioMed Investors and Hx Bio Ventures as well as contributions from existing investors from the initial Series A round including Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund (BIVF), Gründerfonds Ruhr, NRW.BANK and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).

Groove, the sales engagement platform for enterprises using Salesforce, has raised a USD45 million Series B round of funding, led by Viking Global Investors.
Existing investors Capital One Ventures, Level Equity, Quest Venture Partners, and Uncork Capital also participated in the round. Groove plans to use the funding to expand its international operations and accelerate its momentum in the enterprise segment of the market, having grown enterprise ARR 114 per cent in the past twelve months with new customers that include Activision, iHeartMedia, LexisNexis, New Relic, TIBCO, Veeva, and Wintrust.

Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, has completed fundraising for Actis Energy 5 (AE5), significantly exceeding its USD4 billion target. With over USD4.7 billion of fund commitments and significant co-investment, the Energy team expects to deploy around USD6 billion of investable capital in this vintage. The additional funding will be used to support ongoing clinical studies and to further advance EASEE(R), an implantable bioelectric brain stimulation system that explores novel approaches to treating epilepsy.
The only treatments currently available for patients who show little or no response to medication are invasive surgical procedures – deep brain stimulation, responsive neurostimulation, vagus nerve stimulation or removal of the affected area of the brain.
