Apex Group (Apex), a global financial services provider, subject to Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) approval, has appointed Frederic Bilas as CEO and Member of the Board of Directors of Apex Fund Services in Luxembourg (Apex Fund Services).

Sales experience platform Walnut has raised USD15 million in Series A funding led by Eight Roads Ventures, a global VC managing USD8 billion of assets, with portfolio companies such as AppsFlyer, Alibaba, Hibob and Made.com.
This funding round comes just several months after a high-demand USD6 million seed round, bringing the total funding raised to date to USD21 million, less than a year after it was founded. The Riverside Company (Riverside), a global private investor focused on the smaller end of the middle market, and Investcorp, a global provider and manager of alternative investment products, have sold Arrowhead Engineered Products (AEP) to Genstar, a private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the financial services, healthcare, industrials and software industries.
Specific terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Procuritas portfolio company Frendy, a Finnish IT services platform, has made its first add-on acquisition, three months after the company’s creation through the acquisition of twelve businesses.
The acquisition of Wisdomic brings Frendy’s combined turnover to around EUR50 million with 220 employees.
Wisdomic is a Finnish IT services company employing around 60 people with offices in Kaarina, Vantaa and Seinäjoki and a data centre in Vantaa. Its offering is focused on cyber security services, cloud and data centre solutions, equipment and user support services, as well as IT infrastructure maintenance and monitoring.

BankiFi, a fintech business specialising in payment processing and financial administration services for SMEs, has secured a GBP2.2 million investment in a funding round led by Praetura Ventures, with participation from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).

Palatine Private Equity has exchanged contracts for the sale of its stake in holiday park operator Verdant Leisure, to the management team backed by Pears Partnership Capital. The deal is subject to FCA approval.
Verdant Leisure is a bespoke holiday park operator offering lodge and caravan holidays and holiday home ownership at stunning sites across Scotland and Northern England.

Olsam Group (Olsam), a company that buys and scales category leading e-commerce businesses, has successfully raised USD165 million in a Series A equity and debt round.
The equity investment was led by Christian Angermayer’s Apeiron Investment Group and Elevat3 Capital, which counts Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund as a strategic partner. Alongside the equity raise, the debt financing round was led by leading European special situations investor North Wall Capital, from the firm’s dedicated e-commerce lending strategy.
