Global professional services provider Suntera Global has been granted a licence to provide fund administration services in Jersey. Awarded by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), the new licence enables Suntera Global to support private equity, real estate, venture capital and other alternative fund managers with a full range of administration services from Jersey, from fund set-up and structuring, through to back-office reporting and accounting, and governance and oversight.  The new licence complements the Group’s existing fund administration capabilities through its highly experienced teams in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas and Isle of Man who support the needs of fund managers

The Riverside Company, a global private investor focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has invested in Plumbing Heating Paramedics LLC (PHP).  The deal is an add-on investment to Riverside’s platform, Threshold Brands, a multi-brand franchisor of trade services concepts.  With plans to begin franchising the concept immediately, the acquisition also marks the company’s entry into plumbing and HVAC franchising. Partners Group has agreed to acquire a 24.9 per cent equity stake in Apex International Corporation (Apex), a globally integrated logistics solutions provider, on behalf of its clients.  Upon closing of the transaction, Partners Group will join majority shareholder Kuehne+Nagel Group, one of the world’s leading logistics companies, with a seat on the Apex Board. Gresham House Energy Storage Fund plc, the UK’s largest fund investing in utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), has signed contracts for the acquisition of a further 425MW of projects from Gresham House Devco Limited (the current pipeline) of which 275MW are proceeding into construction with commissioning targeted for Q1 2022 and the remaining 150MW will be built subject to funding and other conditions.  The acquisition fully commits the equity funds raised in November 2020.   In addition to the current pipeline, the company has expanded its exclusive pipeline by a further 427MW (the subsequent pipeline). AURELIUS has successfully closed its acquisition of SSE Contracting Limited (SSEC) from SSE Plc in a complex carve-out of the multi-disciplinary Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contracting business for an enterprise value of GBP27.5 million.  As a standalone business SSEC is one of the biggest M&E contractors in the UK and Ireland providing mechanical, electrical, rail, street lighting and high voltage engineering services to install and maintain key infrastructure.
