The London Technology Club (LTC), has invested in TIER, a European provider of micro-mobility solutions, as part of a USD250 million fundraising round.  Launched in October 2018, TIER has successfully expanded its offer to more than 90 cities across 10 countries worldwide. The investment by LTC members was made through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) offered by White Star Capital. Umbra, a Santa Barbara-based intelligence and technology company, has raised USD32 million in an equity financing led by the family office venture fund of John Burbank, founder of hedge fund Passport Capital. Premium liquid supplements specialist YourZooki has secured a GBP1.6 million funding facility with Metro Bank as it looks to accelerate its expansion into North American markets. The new funding comes as revenues trebled in the previous twelve months, with online demand rising 750 per cent during the pandemic.   The funding will enable YourZooki to scale up its international distribution network, after signing a recent contract for US and Canadian market entry with GNC (General Nutrition Centre), the world’s biggest specialist supplement retailer. Global growth private equity firm TA Associates (TA) is to make a majority investment in IGEL, the provider of the next-gen edge OS for cloud workspaces.   TA joins existing IGEL investor C Melchers GmbH & Co KG (Melchers), which has been IGEL’s primary investor since its founding in 2001 and will maintain a significant equity interest in the company. After handing over the position of IGEL CEO to Jed Ayres last year, founder and former CEO of IGEL Heiko Gloge also remains as a minority stake holder and board member. Mid-market private equity firm Moshesh Partners Fund Management has selected Prescient Fund Services (Pty) Ltd (Prescient) as the Fund Administrator to its first private fund. Foresight Group (Foresight), a listed infrastructure and specialist regional private equity investment manager, has sold Hedges Direct Group Limited, an ecommerce business in the gardening and landscaping sector based in Euxton, Lancashire.  This is the second exit from Foresight Regional Investment LP (the Fund), following the successful sale of Clubhouse Golf in March 2020 which generated a return of 6.1x.
