Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, SEG is a leading provider of threat engineering and modeling and simulation services to the US Government, primarily supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Missile Defense Agency, and Office of Naval Intelligence. Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) is to acquire Wolseley UK, a specialist distributor of plumbing, heating, climate control, pipe and infrastructure & utility products in the United Kingdom, from Ferguson. Through a carve-out transaction for a net consideration of GBP308 million, Wolseley will become an independent company wholly owned by CD&R funds and management.
The transaction represents the twelfth building products and industrial distribution investment completed by CD&R over the last decade. In 2020, CD&R carved-out White Cap, a leading distributor of specialty construction products, from HD Supply and completed a partnership investment in SIG plc, a UK-listed building products distributor.

Private equity firm LDC has backed the creation of a new national lettings and estate agency group through a GBP100 million transaction to merge Lomond Capital and Linley & Simpson.The new group has a combined portfolio of over 22,000 properties under management and major hubs in private rental hotspots including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Brighton, Edinburgh, Hull, Leeds Manchester, Sheffield and York.
The group brings together some of the UK’s strongest high street letting and estate agency brands including Linley & Simpson, Thornley Groves, Brand Vaughan, John Shepherd, Stonehouse and Braemore.

Bascom Group has partnered with Capital Trust Group to acquire a Class A, 372,856 sq ft, absolute net-lease, build-to-suit research and development, manufacturing and testing facility and an adjacent 118,620 sq ft corporate office in the Milwaukee-area community of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin for USD100.0 million.JLL worked on behalf of Bascom Group to arrange the joint venture partnership with The Capital Trust Group. Additionally, working on behalf of the new partnership, JLL placed a 10-year, 65-percent, LTV, CMBS, fixed-rate USD63.7 million loan with Citigroup. This transaction marks Capital Trust Group’s first acquisition in the United States for over two decades.
