An affiliate of KSL Capital Partners has made a substantial investment in the restaurant Group Hai Hospitality. The investment will enable the group to accelerate the growth and expansion of its restaurant brands. The Hai Hospitality leadership team, including Founding Chef and Partner Tyson Cole, will remain at the helm. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The Family First nursery group, backed by August Equity, has reached it’s first major growth milestone, having acquired 10 nurseries since launch. The company purchased four Little Garden Nurseries in June 2019 and has since added Prima Montessori in Gillingham, Bizzy Bees in London, Acorn Montessori in Harrow and three Headstart nurseries in Potters Bar, Enfield and Barnet.
Chairman Andy Morris has a strong track record in growing children’s nursery groups, having taken Asquith to 92 nurseries before selling to Bright Horizons. He subsequently helped grow the OAC Childcare Group in Australia from 24 nurseries to 79.

Its core product focus is selling and marketing ‘princeps’ – original drug brands – with defensible market positions and strong brand awareness. Based in Saint-Cloud, France, XO is a pharmaceutical company with deep expertise in marketing and brand revitalisation. The company outsources its drug production to API manufacturers and CMOs primarily based in Europe.

Private Equity house Key Capital Partners (KCP) has completed a GBP7 million investment into the online darts retailer, Darts Corner. This is the third investment for KCP this year and comes shortly after the exits of Sparta Global and Hallam Medical.Darts Corner was founded in 2007 by current shareholder and CEO, Wayne Taylor. The company is the market leading online provider of darts and darts accessories and sells all over the world from its headquarters in Bolton.

Cebile Capital, a global secondaries advisor and placement agent, has closed a GP-led continuation vehicle process for Edison Partners, a growth capital investor in technology businesses, based in Princeton, NJ. Edison Fund VII, a 2010 vintage, raised USD249 million. Limited Partners in the fund were given the option to roll into the new Continuation Fund or sell their interests. Hollyport Capital led the transaction and was joined by New Mexico Educational Retirement Board and another limited partner in the syndicate, which was four times oversubscribed.
