Guru Capital has closed its acquisition of London based ETX Capital, a provider of multi-asset CFD products, from UK private equity firm, JRJ Group. The transaction is closing after receiving approval from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Additionally, Guru Capital partners Luca Merolla and Ryan Nettles have been appointed as non-executive directors to the ETX Capital Board of Directors. MJ Hudson has advised Kindred Capital, early stage venture capital firm, on the establishment of a venture capital fund in Luxembourg which will focus on investments in a diversified selection of high-potential early stage technology start-ups in the UK and Europe. Investors in the fund included British Patient Capital, a subsidiary of British Business Bank which also supported Kindred Capital in respect of the launch of its first fund as well a number of institutional investors who have chosen to re-up. Private equity fund management company LitCapital has closed its second fund – LitCapital Opportunity Fund at EUR34 million. All investors of the predecessor fund have made commitments into the new fund, almost all of them have increased their commitments.
