A healthtech business with an app that helps patients communicate with clinicians remotely has raised a further GBP2 million to help expand its use.Advanced Digital Innovation (ADI) has raised funding from NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, which is managed by Mercia and is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, the UK government’s Future Fund and the company’s Chair and founder Bob Gomersall.

UK private equity fund Elaghmore has acquired UK signage specialist, Blaze Signs Holdings Ltd (Blaze). Based in Broadstairs, Kent, and with a substantial manufacturing and service centre in Birmingham, Blaze designs, manufactures, installs and maintains high-quality signage for well-known brands, including Lloyds Bank, Vision Express, Tescos and Sainsburys. During the pandemic, Blaze has also been providing social distancing and signage solutions for its customers.
The acquisition includes Blaze’s trading subsidiaries Blaze Signs Ltd and Cygnia Maintenance Ltd. Cygnia is the UK’s largest, and leading provider of sign maintenance, sign repairs and image protection services.
In total, Blaze employs 250
British Business Investments Ltd, a commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank, has made its fourth commitment through its GBP500 million Managed Funds Programme.The cornerstone commitment of up to EUR75 million is being made to manager Isomer Capital’s second fund, Isomer Capital II, which will be targeted at early stage venture capital managers across Europe, that invest primarily into early stage tech companies. Isomer II will also pursue a co-investment strategy, investing alongside its fund managers, with additional capital made available for the most promising, high-growth companies from the underlying portfolio.
