Alantra has expanded its Investment Banking team with the addition of César Ciriza as Managing Partner and will head of its infrastructure and energy activity.
Ciriza is a renowned banker specialising in infrastructure and energy transactions and brings over 20 years of investment banking experience to the role. Before launching his own investment boutique in 2019, Ciriza founded and led Evercore’s Iberian operations for seven years as Managing Director. He has successfully advised on transactions worth over EUR150 billion including M&A, sales, acquisitions, restructurings, IPOs, debt issuances and debt and equity advisory.

The investment through Finance Durham, which is managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven), will support construction of a solar film pilot plant in County Durham, further improve the efficiency of Power Roll’s solar film technology and help commercialise its capacitor technology with its joint venture partner.

VNX Exchange, a Luxembourg-based digital asset investment platform, has completed the first VC deal in Europe utilising blockchain tech.
The deal sees the issue of EUR1.1 million of asset-backed tokens linked to the investment into Streami Inc, a South Korean blockchain company.
Issued on the Ethereum blockchain ERC-20, the asset-backed tokens represent claims on the future cash flow from the investment.
