Independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager Foresight Group and Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE) have made a GBP500,000 follow-on investment from Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund into Salvalco, to support the development of aerosol valves that use ecologically sustainable propellants. Overall, the Fund has now invested GBP3.2 million into Salvalco, following the original investment in April 2018.

ENSEK, a software supplier to UK energy providers, has acquired NrgFin, a Benelux-based consultancy and data analytics company. The deal is part of ENSEK’s growth strategy to expand into new international territories within Western Europe, as well as pursuing wider growth opportunities in the UK. Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) infrastructure debt team has invested GBP48 million in a UK smart meter business.This partnership with Calvin Capital, a part of the Calisen Group, will help drive the UK’s green agenda forward aligning UK homes with UK smart meter ambitions and targets. US private equity firm KKR has released its second quarter financial results showing 5 per cent higher earnings for the first six months of 2020 compared to the first six months of 2019.
The firm’s private equity funds increased 11 per cent in the second quarter, while its global infrastructure and real estate funds increased by 7 per cent and 2 per cent.
New capital raised in the quarter totalled USD16 billion – a record quarterly figure for KKR – driven by fundraising across its Asia Private Equity, Asia Infrastructure, Core Plus Real Estate and Dislocation strategies, according to the firm.
