Private equity-backed property, site and people protection specialist Orbis Protect has made its first acquisition following a strong period of growth despite the UK-wide lockdown.The business employs more than 400 staff across 19 UK depots, working with clients across the private and public sectors. Its services include vacant property management – deep-cleaning, repairing and securing vacant properties ready for re-occupation, as well as site security for commercial offices, construction and other vulnerable sites through its monitoring services. It also offers a lone worker monitoring solution, supporting 35,000 workers annually with personalised alarm services.

Western NIS Enterprise Fund has reached an agreement to sell, alongside other shareholders, its stake in Moldova-based Glass Container Company and Glass Container Prim (GCC) to Vetropack Austria Holding AG, a subsidiary of Vetropack Holding SA.Vetropack is a leading Swiss player in the European glass packaging industry with 2019 annual turnover of CHF714.9 million, and subsidiaries in Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Ukraine and Italy.

Madrid-based Bnext, a provider of alternative banking services, has secured USD13 million (EUR11million) in another capital investment round by its existing investors.
The startup’s total investments received to date are slightly above GBP43 million. In October 2019 DN Capital led its first investment round into the company, together with Redalpine and Speedinvest, closing a USD25 million Series A financing round – the largest in the fintech sector in Spain to date.

Independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager Foresight Group and Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE) have made a GBP500,000 follow-on investment from Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund into Salvalco, to support the development of aerosol valves that use ecologically sustainable propellants. Overall, the Fund has now invested GBP3.2 million into Salvalco, following the original investment in April 2018.

ENSEK, a software supplier to UK energy providers, has acquired NrgFin, a Benelux-based consultancy and data analytics company. The deal is part of ENSEK’s growth strategy to expand into new international territories within Western Europe, as well as pursuing wider growth opportunities in the UK.
