Silverfleet Capital (Silverfleet), a pan-European private equity firm, has appointed Dr Christian Süss as a Partner in its Munich office, further strengthening its investment team in the DACH region. Süss, an Austrian national, joins Silverfleet from Towerbrook, where he was a Senior Principal, working across the company’s buyout and structured minority funds. He previously spent eight years at EQT Partners and prior to that, he was a Consultant at Bain & Company.
Süss has an MBA from INSEAD, and graduated with a PhD in technical physics from TU Graz, Austria. He was also awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Linköping University,

Jersey Finance has welcomed a new amendment to the island’s legislation that will make it significantly easier for managers to migrate limited partnership fund structures to the jurisdiction.The changes to the Limited Partnership (Jersey) Law 1994, which were approved by Jersey’s government this week to come into force today (17 July), introduce a new statutory basis for limited partnerships, which are frequently used for alternative fund structuring, to be migrated from other jurisdictions, providing greater legal certainty for managers and investors.

Private equity and venture capital investment into UK businesses reached GBP22.33 billion in 2019, an increase of GBP1.6 billion on the previous year, new research from the BVCA shows.Published today, the BVCA’s annual Report on Investment Activity shows the full breadth of the impact of private equity and venture capital on the UK economy. A total of 1,530 companies across the country received backing in 2019, an increase of 15 per cent on the 2018 figures.
Venture capital investment increased by 67 per cent year-on-year to GBP1.65 billion with 821 companies backed, an 18 per cent increase.
