New York-based private equity firm CI Capital Partners has partnered with with Paul Winnowski, the former President and COO of Sunrun, and former President of UTC Fire & Security in Europe & South Africa, to jointly pursue platform company investments in the residential solar industry and the commercial security integration industry. Winnowski has significant operational experience in both sectors, having formerly served as the President and COO of Sunrun, the nation’s largest residential solar company, from 2014 to 2018. Winnowski joined Sunrun following its acquisition of Mainstream Energy, a diversified solar energy business, where he served as CEO from 2012 to 2014.

German private equity firm Allegra Capital has acquired two high-end printing companies from the Sandoz Family Foundation in Switzerland. Genoud Entreprise d’arts graphiques and Musumeci, two specialists in graphic arts printing, were purchased by a holding company advised by Munich-based Allegra Capital, which focuses on corporate divestitures in special situations.
Genoud, which was founded in 1957, is a Swiss-based printing company which provides graphic arts in all forms of print media for the Swiss watchmaking and other luxury industries. Musumeci, founded in 1837, specialises in the production of sophisticated art prints, superior photobooks and catalogues and magazines for luxury industries
Fresh Direct Produce, a portfolio company of middle-market private equity firm HKW, has acquired Mike and Mike’s Inc. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, Mike and Mike’s is a non-grower distributor of fresh certified organic fruits and vegetables sourced from the United States and internationally as well as British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. In addition to fruits and vegetables, the Company also sells grocery and snack products.
