Milltrust International Group has launched The Climate Impact Asia Fund in collaboration with Environmental Investment Services Asia Limited and WWF Hong Kong.
The fund, targeting a size of USD 500 million, will invest in Asian-listed companies making a positive impact with regards to climate change.

Qiming Venture Partners has closed Qiming Venture Partners Fund VII, a new USD1.1 billion fund focused on early stage Healthcare and TMT investments.Qiming has again secured support from its long-term LP base in Fund VII as well as attracting several new LPs. As in prior funds, the vast majority of Qiming’s capital comes from a prestigious group of endowments, foundations, family offices, and private pensions.

Barclays has appointed Khaled Habayeb as a Managing Director in Healthcare Equity Capital Markets (ECM). Habayeb will be based in New York, and will report to Taylor Wright and Kristin DeClark, Co-Heads of ECM Americas at Barclays. Crescent Capital Group, an alternative credit investment firm, has held the final closing of its second European specialty lending fund, Crescent European Specialty Lending Fund II (CESL II), with total limited partner equity commitments of approximately EUR1.6 billion. The fund has both levered and unlevered sleeves.
CESL II was meaningfully oversubscribed, exceeding its initial target of EUR1 billion as well as its initial hard cap. This fundraise represents a significant increase from its predecessor fund, Crescent European Specialty Lending Fund I (CESL I), which announced its final close in December 2015 at EUR500 million of LP capital commitments.

International law firm Proskauer has surveyed over 100 of its private credit clients to better understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the market.“Despite the unprecedented challenges our clients are facing, the overwhelming number of respondents reported that they are open for business. Inflexion Private Equity Partners is making donations totalling GBP 2.5 million to help alleviate the impact of the coronavirus outbreak via The Inflexion Foundation.
Inflexion said that the current pandemic is both “universal and severe” and that the firm recognises the need to support the most vulnerable at this time.
The foundation has donated GBP 2 million to the National Emergencies Trust to support their Coronavirus Appeal which is raising funds for local charities and grassroots organisations that can provide vital support to people.
The National Emergencies Trust was launched last year to raise and distribute funds for national emergencies.
YFM Equity Partners has held a final close of its Buyout Fund II with GBP80 million of committed capital and participation from new high net worth and entrepreneurial investors.
Buyout Fund II will follow on from YFM’s first buyout fund that closed on GBP45 million in April 2017, and which recently completed its investment programme, with ten investments made within three years.
