Global law firm Mayer Brown has found that the total annual value of acquisitions of UK companies by US private equity funds jumped 53 per cent last year to GBP14.2 billion; up from GBP9.3 billion in 2018. It is the latest sign of favourable market economics in the UK, which has seen a widening valuation gap relative to European listed equities as the country has convulsed from the vacillations of Brexit.

The Luxembourg-based special fund FP Lux Investments is expanding the portfolio of its Wind Infrastructure I sub-fund for institutional investors. Three additional wind energy projects with a total capacity of 19.2 MW have recently been acquired – the Melgven and Callac wind farms are French projects with a capacity of 10.8 MW, while the Gardelegen wind farm is located in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt and has a capacity of 8.4 MW.
