Mid-market private equity investor, LDC, has strengthened its South West & Wales team, based in Bristol, with the appointment of a new Investment Director, Stefan Gunn. Guidehouse, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital (Veritas) and leading provider of management consulting services to government clients, is to acquire Navigant Consulting in a transaction valued at approximately USD1.1 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Navigant shareholders will receive USD28 in cash per share. The round makes Babylon the UK’s newest unicorn with the company now valued at USD2 billion.  The financing is the largest ever European digital health raise, as well one of the largest fundraisings in UK venture capital history.
