INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund has acquired an 86 per cent stake in Lithuanian metal processing and industrial construction company, Montuotojas AB.  This deal has been completed through INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund subsidiaries BSGF Fortis and Montuja respectively for an undisclosed amount.  In 2018, Montuotojas recorded revenues of EUR33.5 million with the company employing around 700 people that undertake circa 100-120 wide-ranging projects per annum.  Montuotojas is proud to service a market-leading client base, including the likes of Lifosa, Amilina, Bega, Klaipedos nafta, Achema, Lietpak, Litesko and Orlen Lietuva among others.  The acquisition is driven in significant part by

It is the first European issue of asset backed securities that are backed solely by a portfolio of renewable energy assets. Evotec SE has completed its acquisition of Just Biotherapeutics (Just.Bio). Evotec says the deal will strengthen its multimodality approach to R&D. Evotec acquired Just.Bio to integrate its machine-learning technologies and agile, flexible methods for the design, development, and manufacturing of biologics into Evotec’s drug discovery offerings.  Just.Bio’s 95 employees and its biologic development and manufacturing site located in Seattle, WA, USA, will expand Evotec’s US footprint. Ancala Partners (Ancala), an independent infrastructure investment manager, has acquired a 50 per cent interest in Dragon LNG, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal located at Milford Haven, Wales.  Ancala acquired the interest on behalf of its managed funds from Petronas LNG Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas). Transaction terms have not been disclosed. Dragon LNG is one of three LNG regasification terminals in the UK. The terminal has a gas send out rate to the UK’s National Transmission System of up to nine billion cubic metres per annum, providing clean and reliable energy for millions

An Edinburgh company whose software platform helps universities to engage and recruit students has secured a GBP1.8 million investment from Mercia Fund Managers, the Scottish Investment Bank’s Co-Investment Fund and existing angel investors. This latest funding round will allow GeckoLabs to more than double the size of its team and expand its operations in North America. It brings the total raised by the company to GBP3 million.
