Private equity investment firm Golden Gate Capital has completed the acquisition of Active Minerals International (AMI) from Merit Capital Partners.
AMI will continue to be led by its current management team, including President and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Parker. Management will retain a significant ownership stake in the business.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Private equity firm GTCR is to acquire Ultimus Fund Solutions and The Gemini Companies in a strategic combination. The combined company, which will operate as Ultimus Fund Solutions, will be a leading provider of full service fund administration, accounting and investor solutions to traditional and alternative fund managers.
On behalf of their customers, the combined companies service approximately USD150 billion of assets under administration and over 840 total funds.

Global investment firm KKR is to acquire GeoStabilization International (GSI), a provider of geotechnical maintenance services for critical infrastructure across the United States and Canada, from CAI Capital Partners (CAI).

RED Capital Partners, a new venture capital firm with offices in Madrid and Tel Aviv, is to launch RED Ventures Fund I, EMEA’s largest VC fund investing exclusively in high-growth tech companies founded or co-founded by women.
