Morgan Lewis has advised Digital Colony, an investment firm focused on mobile and internet infrastructure, on its acquisition of Opencell, which expands presence in the United Kingdom. The transaction was signed on 1 November. Opencell provides multi-operator indoor mobile coverage for a variety of customers, building types, and sizes, particularly landlords and tenants using small cell infrastructure.   Morgan Lewis’s team was led by London partner Tom Cartwright and included associate Jack Shawdon, with support from partner Lee Harding and associates Nadia Akhter and Sarah Stock (employment) and associate Neil McKnight (tax).  
KPS Capital Partners’ (KPS) portfolio company C&D Technologies (C&D) has agreed to acquire Trojan Battery Company (Trojan) from Charlesbank Capital Partners, LLC and other shareholders.  Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   C&D’s acquisition of Trojan combines two leading specialty battery manufacturers with long histories of delivering the highest-quality, most-innovative products in the industrial, renewable energy and specialty motive markets. The combined company will be a global technology leader in the battery industry, with over USD1.0 billion of revenue, and the ability to provide a wide portfolio of high quality energy storage solutions to meet the growing needs
Chicago-based private equity firm Frontenac has acquired Motion Solutions, a provider of highly engineered linear motion, motion control and automation solutions for critical, high technology applications. Affiliates of CVC Fund VII (CVC) are to acquire ConvergeOne Holdings, a global IT and managed services provider of collaboration and technology solutions, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately USD1.8 billion.   Subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, ConvergeOne expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2018 or the first quarter of 2019. Private credit is now a globally established source of mainstream finance for borrowers around the world, with the industry on-track to grow to USD1 trillion of assets under management by 2020. Partnerize, a provider of partner marketing software for global brands, has secured USD9 million (GBP6.91 million) in additional investment, at a USD127 million (GBP97.46 million) valuation.
