New private equity firm Aretex Capital Partners has closed its first transaction, the acquisition of Alerian, a provider of energy infrastructure indices and market intelligence based in Dallas, which was announced in May 2018.
The investment is representative of Aretex’s strategy to invest in founder-led businesses with multiple growth levers.

Alternative investment firm Värde Partners has appointed Shannon Gallagher as Head of EMEA Business Development and Investor Relations.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets (AXA IM – Real Assets) is to acquire, on behalf of clients, and in a joint venture with Crédit Agricole Assurances and Fluxys, a 35.76 per cent stake in the Dunkirk LNG regasification terminal (Dunkirk LNG) in Northern France.
With Fluxys already holding 25 per cent in the facility, the company through the consortium will have ~30.39 per cent in the capital of the terminal while AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets, on behalf of its clients, and Crédit Agricole Assurances each will hold ~15.19 per cent. Natixis Investment Managers has expanded its private debt capabilities with the acquisition of a MV Credit, a European Credit specialist focused on upper mid-cap private debt.
The acquisition providing investors with access to a wide range of strategies in private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure. MV Credit will remain fully autonomous while being able to access Natixis Investment Managers’ centralised global distribution capabilities. Natixis says the acquisition will be fee rate accretive, and the impact of the transaction on its CET1 ratio is estimated at around 10 basis points (bps).

Nexxus Iberia’s Nexxus Iberia Private Equity Fund I (FCR) has completed its first investment in Fuertes Gimeno Comunicaciones (FGC).
Founded in 1998, FGC is a Spanish engineering company that provides a wide range of services to telecom carriers and equipment vendors for the deployment, maintenance, upgrade and optimisation of mobile and fixed networks. Such services include consultancy, outsourcing of qualified personnel, site location management, first line maintenance of network, and engineering projects. FGC main clients are in Spain, Germany, UK, Mexico and other Latin American countries (LatAm).

LDC, the UK’s leading mid-market private equity investor, has made a GBP10 million investment in Yorkshire property agency Linley & Simpson to support its expansion.

The company, specialising in the production of small and medium-sized gears, both cylindrical and conical, with straight, helical and spiral toothing used for adaptors, machinery and transmissions, represents the perfect fit for TFM Group, one of the main European producers active in manufacturing high precision machined components for the Automotive, Cycle and Oil & Gas sectors.

Crown Capital Partners has launched Crown Capital Power, a new fund that will provide investors with attractive, utility-like income through the direct ownership of Integrated Energy Platforms (IEPs) that provide electricity under long-term contracts to mid to large-scale electricity users, such as manufacturers, hotels, and condominiums.
IEPs are on-site generators that provide more reliable and less expensive electricity than comparable service from a public utility.

Campbell Lutyens’ US-based team has grown to 30 people across three offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
