GPB Capital has completed the acquisition of a majority ownership stake in Health Prime International (HPI), a provider of practice management and revenue cycle management solutions for medical practices across the US. Funds managed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) are to jointly invest with Cardinal Health in naviHealth, a manager of post-acute benefits for health plans and a value-based care partner to health systems and providers.  naviHealth currently serves more than two million insured members and manages care transitions for approximately 800 acute hospitals and 11,000 post-acute care facilities in the US.   Under the terms of the agreement, CD&R-managed funds will acquire approximately a 55 per cent ownership stake in naviHealth while Cardinal Health will retain approximately a 45 per cent interest in the business. Institutional investors in the UK and Continental Europe are boosting allocations to alternative income assets, such as infrastructure debt and equity, structured finance, real estate finance and private corporate debt, in the pursuit of stronger risk-adjusted returns and diversification.
