Rothman brings forty years of experience and a strong international network in the medical field to Sofinnova Partners.

Venture capital firm Hambro Perks, run by Rupert Hambro and former investment banker Dominic Perks, has opened its doors to retail investors for the first time.
The firm is now launching an EIS fund, administered by Mainspring, which will allow retail investors to make tax-efficient investments alongside the Hambro Perks business.

Direct Healthcare Group (DHG), a private equity-backed manufacturer of pressure care solutions, has completed the acquisition of Qbitus Products.
Qbitus was founded more than thirty years ago and supplies bespoke, pressure relieving cushions to the NHS and Wheelchair Services.
Based in Caerphilly, DHG specialises in the development of clinically effective solutions for the delivery of harm-free patient care. The Group expects to grow turnover to GBP24m in the current year and has increased headcount from 62 to 180 since NorthEdge Capital supported an MBO in April 2016.
This latest bolt-on represents DHG’s fourth acquisition in 24 months. In
Converged ICT Services Provider GCI, a portfolio company of private equity firm Mayfair Equity Partners, has appointed Patrick De Smedt as Non-Executive Chairman.
De Smedt brings a wealth of experience to GCI, including 23 years with Microsoft which he joined in 1983 when it was a mere 200 employees. De Smedt was one of its first appointments in Europe and his career culminated in the role of Chairman for Microsoft Europe Middle East and Africa.

TPG Growth has partnered with management to acquire HALO Branded Solutions, a leading marketing services platform that distributes promotional products and provides employee recognition services.
TPG Growth acquired the company from Audax Private Equity. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval, have not been disclosed.
