The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) has acquired The Crosspoint building on Liverpool Street in London from Amsprop in an off-market transaction. This investment adds to the Uncommon flexible office and co-working business that Carlyle and the Adir Group launched in June 2017.
Capital for this investment came from investment funds that Carlyle advises.
The building is to be rebranded ‘Uncommon Liverpool Street’, with an opening expected later this year. The 41,000 sq ft nine-storey office benefits from 360 degree views over the City skyline including two roof terrace gardens. SANNE has appointed Tracy Burns as Director of Global Operations. Based at SANNE’s headquarters in Jersey, Burns will be responsible for leading the development and rollout of SANNE’s operations, helping to support the business with its fast growth and creation of global operational centres of excellence.
This appointment also sees Tracy becoming a member of the Groups Services leadership team led by Eric Watson, SANNE’s Chief Operating Officer.

Century Bridge Capital has appointed Tully Wyatt as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with responsibility for all financial aspects of the firm, including both the Dallas and Beijing operations, and overseeing the treasury, compliance and financial management of the firm’s funds and investment vehicles.
Wyatt replaced Jim McCoy who announced his retirement earlier this year.

Mourant Ozannes has represented BGH Capital (BGH) as to Guernsey law in the raising of its first private equity fund with a focus on investment in Australia and New Zealand.
The fund, which held its final closing with commitments at around AUD2.6 billion (approximately USD2 billion), is the largest ever first time fund focused on investment in Australia and New Zealand.
BGH was founded by Ben Gray and Simon Harle (formerly partners of TPG Capital) and Robin Bishop (formerly head of Macquarie Capital in Australia and New Zealand).

Auth0, a specialist in Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS), has secured USD55 million in Series D funding, bringing the company’s total financing-to-date to more than USD110 million.
This round is led by Sapphire Ventures, and includes investment from World Innovation Lab, as well as from existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Trinity Ventures, Meritech Capital Partners, and K9 Ventures. Peer-to-peer business lender Assetz Capital has announced its first ever rate rise across its access accounts.
The rate increase, which takes effect from 1 May 2018 until further notice, will take target interest rates for the Quick Access Account and 30-Day Access Account from 3.75 per cent to 4.10 per cent and from 4.25 per cent to 5.10 per cent respectively.
Both new and existing investors will benefit from the target interest rate boost, and it applies to both ISA-wrapped and non-ISA accounts.

Private investment house Ardian has raised more than USD800 million for its first infrastructure fund dedicated to the US and other OECD American countries. The fund marks Ardian’s continued expansion into the American market.
The fundraising, which was completed in less than six months, attracted a substantial number of North American institutional investors within a diversified global mix that also included commitments from European and Asian pension funds, insurance companies and other institutions. With this acquisition, LoopUp will add significant scale and materially enhance earnings. The acquisition will constitute a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules for Companies.
