Private equity investment in European companies hit a 10-year high in 2017 at EUR71.7 billion, a 29 per cent year-on-year increase, according to new data released today by Invest Europe.

Private equity firm TA Associates has completed an investment in Datix, a specialty healthcare patient safety software provider.
Existing investor Five Arrows Principal Investments, the European corporate private equity business of Rothschild Merchant Banking, will maintain a significant equity stake in Datix. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Natixis has appointed Michael Moravec as Head of Investment Banking, Americas. He will report locally to Kevin Alexander, Managing Director and globally to Mohamed Kallala, Global Head of Investment Banking.
Moravec will oversee all aspects of the Investment Banking division for Natixis’ CIB Americas platform.

Global investment advisory and alternatives platform Mercury Capital Advisors has appointed Nick Savasta as Chief Investment Officer and Partner, overseeing Investment Advisory.
He will report to Michael Ricciardi, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, and will lead the firm in advising clients across a range of alternative asset classes including direct private equity investments and allocations to fund managers.

High Road Capital Partners has sold its portfolio company All Integrated Solutions (AIS) to MSC Industrial Supply Co, marking the sixth exit for the firm’s debut fund, High Road Capital Partners Fund I.
The transaction closed on 30 April, 2018. Purchase price was approximately USD86 million.
