Independent fund and corporate services provider, the Aztec Group, has appointed private equity expert, Gavin Hayman, as a Director in their Guernsey office.
Hayman will form part of the team responsible for developing and leading the delivery of the Aztec Group’s private equity fund services’ client proposition in Guernsey. Day-to-day he will ensure the effective management of client relationships for both the Guernsey office and across the firm’s other jurisdictions. As a new member of the local executive team, Hayman will support the leadership team in shaping the Group’s strategic direction.

GSV Asset Management has secured a strategic investment from a group led by HMC Capital (HMC), a Latin American advisory and investment firm.
While terms of the deal have not been disclosed, the investment will result in a minority ownership interest for the HMC-led group in GSV Asset Management. Proceeds will be used to enhance GSV’s ongoing investment activities, as well as to accelerate its strategic expansion into new business areas and geographies.

Maven Capital Partners has appointed Steve Lewis and Jonathan Lowe as Investment Directors leading the Maven – MEIF Debt Fund team in the West Midlands and East and South-East Midlands respectively.
Based in Birmingham, Lewis has responsibility for new MEIF investments across the Midlands, as well as managing portfolio investments. Steve joins Maven following a 30 year career in SME investment and banking, most recently with Handelsbanken in Wolverhampton. Private equity firm Silverfleet Capital is to acquire a majority stake in the 7days group (7days), a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of medical workwear. Terms of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, have not been disclosed.
The founders will reinvest alongside Silverfleet Capital and remain with the Company.

iCapital Network has closed its acquisition of the US Private Equity Access Fund Platform from the Asset Management division of Deutsche Bank. iCapital now services more than USD5 billion in investor capital and nearly 10,000 investor accounts.

NewAlpha Asset Management is making its first InsurTech investment through a fundraising initiative conducted jointly with a leading global reinsurer on behalf of Digital Insure.

CAMRADATA, a provider of data and analysis for institutional investors, has acquired specialist publishing business, Funds Europe Limited – a move that will boost CAMRADATA’s research arm, expand its publishing capabilities and events business and extend its database reach into Europe.
The acquisition will be completed by 14 December 2017 and will see nine editorial, sales and administration staff transfer across and relocate to CAMRADATA’s Leadenhall Street offices in the City of London from their current office.

Outsourced investment office Partners Capital has added to its senior management team with the promotions of David Shushan and Toby Joll from Managing Director to Partner.
Four other promotions from Senior Principal to Managing Director were announced. This takes the firm to 17 Partners and Managing Directors, led by Stan Miranda as Founder and CEO.
Based in Boston, Shushan was promoted to Partner. Shushan joined Partners Capital in 2008 from McKinsey & Company and is responsible for the firm’s US Taxable Client Strategy as well as managing many of the largest US private client accounts.
