The Inspiring Travel Company, a maker of bespoke luxury holidays which is backed by private equity firm North Edge Capital, has boosted revenues by 13 per cent during a year of robust growth.
The Cheshire-based travel group featured in the BBC documentary The Millionaires’ Holiday Club, which provided a behind-the-scenes look into the world of luxury travel. This significantly raised the firm’s profile and helped it to achieve revenue of GBP92 million in the year to April 2017 – up from GBP81m the previous year. Profits also grew to GBP4.3 million from GBP3.9 million over the same period.

DiscoverOrg, a B2B sales and marketing data provider majority owned by private equity firm TA Associates, has acquired RainKing in a cash transaction.

JCRA Group, a provider of hedging, financial risk and debt consultancy services, including interest rate and foreign exchange advice, has secured the backing of private investor clients of Connection Capital, the specialist private client investment business, for its GBP13.6million management buy-out (MBO).
Connection Capital clients invested GBP6.7 million in the deal, which will support JCRA’s management team in executing its business development plans: driving growth by maximising synergies within its business, continued geographic expansion across their existing areas of operation, and implementing technological enhancements to drive efficiency.

Waterland Private Equity Investments (Waterland) has held the closing of its seventh institutional fund, Waterland Private Equity Fund VII (WPEF VII) at EUR2 billion, less than two months after its initial launch.
WPEF VII was considerably oversubscribed with demand exceeding the fundraising target significantly, attributable to continued strong support from existing investors combined with significant interest of new investors.

Blackstone (NYSE:BX) has appointed Katsuyuki Kuki as Chairman and Representative Director for Japan. Kuki will advise and support Blackstone’s investing and capital raising efforts in Japan as the firm continues to expand its presence in the country.
Prior to Blackstone, Kuki was the Chairman of Banking at JP Morgan in Japan and spent nine years at the company in various leadership roles within their Investment Banking division. International private equity firm, Cinven, has agreed to sell intellectual property (IP) management and technology company CPA Global to Leonard Green & Partners, US buyout firm, for an undisclosed figure.
CPA Global is the world’s leading provider of IP software, services and data & analytics for corporates and law firms. The business manages more than two million patents for more than 10,000 customers across the globe. The business has 23 offices worldwide and operates from its headquarters in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Monroe Capital has acted as sole lead arranger and administrative agent on the funding of a USD14 million asset-based facility to refinance the existing debt facility and provide working capital for PetEdge, Inc.
Founded in 1956 and based in Beverly, Massachusetts, PetEdge, Inc. is a developer and wholesale distributor of pet supplies and grooming products to a diverse customer base including pet professionals (groomers, kennels and veterinarians) and leading retailers nationwide.
The company was originally known as New England Serum Company, Inc. and has been doing business as PetEdge, Inc since 2002.
Blend has raised USD100 million in a Series D funding round led by Greylock Partners with participation from Emergence Capital, 8VC, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Nyca Partners, bringing the company’s total funding to USD166 million.

Private equity investor Advent International (Advent) is to acquire Williams Lea Tag, a provider of marketing and communications services, from Deutsche Post DHL Group. Financial terms of the transaction have not been undisclosed.
