BGF Quoted has provided GBP7 million in funding to AIM-listed Netcall, a provider of technology solutions that help businesses better engage with their customers, to support Netcall’s acquisition of Beringea-backed MatsSoft Limited, a cloud-based software provider. The investment was transacted via BGF’s most recently opened regional office in Milton Keynes.   Headquartered in Hemel Hempstead, Netcall has more than 700 customers in the private and public sector including NHS Acute Health Trusts, BT, Lloyds Banking Group, Axa and Interflora. The company’s product suite incorporates omni-channel contact centre, workforce optimisation and business process management, delivered through its integrated platform, Liberty.  
Goodwin, a leading Global 50 law firm, has expanded its international Private Equity and Private Investment Funds practices with the appointment of Alexandrine Armstrong-Cerfontaine as partner in its London office.   Armstrong-Cerfontaine focuses on fund formation and transactions, advising private equity sponsors on their investments and corporate finance, drawing on her experience on business management, corporate finance, restructuring, compensation, retirement plans and advising financial sponsors and management in setting-up complex compensation schemes as part of leverage buyout transactions. She also has a general experience in syndicated financings (including leveraged financing and restructurings) and a particular experience in fund financings.  
YFM Equity Partners’ (YFM) British Smaller Companies VCT (BSC) has appointed Rupert Cook as an independent non-executive director.
 Cook specialises in corporate and business development, with twenty five years’ experience of technology, sales, marketing and general management, including fifteen years in corporate finance and investment. Private equity group Bridgepoint is to acquire Miller Homes, one of the UK’s largest housebuilders, in a deal worth GBP655 million from funds managed by GSO Capital Partners. The Rohatyn Group (TRG), a specialised asset management firm focused on emerging markets, is to acquire GMO Renewable Resources (GMORR); a joint venture between global investment management firm Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co (GMO), and GMORR’s principals, investing in forestry and agriculture opportunities. Under the agreement, the team from GMORR is expected to move, intact, to TRG. GMO, which currently owns 51 per cent of the GMORR joint venture, with the GMORR principals owning 49 per cent, will retain its investments in funds managed by GMORR.   Founded in 1997, GMORR provides investment opportunities in forestry and agriculture investing.
