Verdane Capital IX has invested over EUR5 million in Vaadin, a developer of open source web application development tools. The board of trustees of the Blackstone/GSO Long-Short Credit Income Fund (BGX) has approved a change in the fund’s investment guidelines. The change will increase the fund’s ability to invest in long investments while maintaining the limit of the fund’s short investments as a percentage of net assets.   The new investment guidelines will not specifically limit the fund’s long investments. Unigestion has appointed four investment experts to its private equity team, as it looks to strengthen its European team with a particular focus on secondary and direct investment activities. Pieter-Jan Frederix was appointed investment director within the private equity team in December 2015. Frederix joined from the Antenna Group where he was responsible for direct investments and has extensive experience through previous roles at KPMG Corporate Finance, Bear Stearns and private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson.   In May 2016, Unigestion also appointed Andreas Georgiades as an investment manager. He jouned from Nomura International where he focused on M&A.  
LGT Capital Partners has raised in excess of USD2.5 billion for Crown Global Secondaries IV (CGS IV), its fourth dedicated secondary fund. KKR has closed two direct lending transactions which will provide financing for Roompot, an operator of holiday parks, and Exterion Media, an outdoor advertising company in the UK and Europe.
