Global law firm Dechert has advised Mid Europa Partners on its acquisition of Profi Rom Food, the largest supermarket chain in Romania, from Polish Enterprise Fund VI.  This is the largest deal ever completed by a private equity fund in Romania and the largest retail deal in the country’s history.   Profi is a modern retail network with the widest geographical spread in Romania. ArangoDB has secured a EUR2.2 million investment led by Munich-based venture capital firm Target Partners. ArangoDB develops the open-source NoSQL database ArangoDB, which combines three major data models (graph, key/value, JSON-documents) in one database and one query language.   ArangoDB’s product allows start-ups and enterprises to speed up their innovation cycles, simplify their technology stack and increase on-time and on-budget delivery of software projects.   Claudius Weinberger, co-founder and CEO, says: “The previous funding round allowed us to build a rock-solid product and with this additional investment we can further accelerate our growth and expand internationally.”   Kurt Müller, partner

Inflexion Private Equity has appointed Daryl Cohen as an investment director within the partnership capital team, focused on minority investing.
