Apogee has completed the acquisition of Direct Business Systems (DBS), an independent provider of multi-functional copiers, printers, scanners and support services based in Glasgow.
Established in 1995, DBS is a family-led business with clients such as distillers Whyte&Mackay, charity Sense Scotland and logistics specialist Malcolm Group.
DBS provides technology from four different manufacturer partners and the service operation supports an installed base of nearly 1,500 devices.
DBS will be fully integrated into the Apogee Group and directors Eric Chambers and Anne Chambers will continue to lead the business in Glasgow.

The European Corporate Debt Private Placement (ECPP) Joint Committee, coordinated by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), has launched an updated version of the European Corporate Debt Private Placement Market Guide.
The guide sets out a voluntary framework for common market standards and best practices which are essential for the further development of the ECPP market providing medium to long term finance especially to European mid-sized companies, in close alignment with the European Commission’s goal of bringing about a Capital Markets Union.
By the end of 2015, the ECPP market was estimated at EUR33 billion including German Schuldschein issuance.
HarbourVest Global Private Equity (HVPE) has consolidated its listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and has delisted from Euronext Amsterdam.
It says the consolidation will result in reduced administrative and legal costs and will simplify the continuing operation of the company.
Subsequent to the delisting from Euronext, shareholders who obtained their shares through the Euronext Amsterdam will continue to be able to trade these shares on the London Stock Exchange.
А consortium of investors led by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), CDC International Capital and Bahrain Mumtalakat have closed a transaction to invest up to EUR250 million in glass tableware manufacturer Arc.
The deal follows a preliminary agreement signed on 17 June 2016.
The proceeds from the deal will be used by the company to implement a global investment programme including expansion of its existing production facilities in Russia and construction of a new state-of-the-art glassware plant in Kaliningrad.
The parties have completed the first drawdown of EUR50 million.

Quadrivio Private Equity Fund 3 has completed its second investment, acquiring a majority stake in Farmol, a Bergamo-based producer of aerosol and liquid based products for the household and personal care sector.
Since 1946, Farmol has served multinational companies in Europe through its four production plants. It has a turnover in excess of EUR80 million, 75 per cent of which is generated abroad. The company has exhibited a growth rate of about 20 per cent in the last year, with an operating profit margin of around 10 per cent.

Oxatis Group, a European e-commerce solutions provider, has received fundraising of EUR5 million from private investors secured by Arkea Capital and current investors.
Oxatis Group trades under the Actinic brand in the UK, the Xopie brand in Spain and MYTHO in Italy.

Mitrefinch, a developer of human capital management (HCM) software, has secured an equity investment of more than GBP20 million from LDC to support its international expansion.
The investment, part of a management buyout led by CEO Debbie Guppy, will see LDC become a significant shareholder in the company, alongside additional members of the management team.
Mitrefinch, which is headquartered in York, provides an integrated suite of HCM software spanning time and attendance, rostering, HR and payroll. Its products are helping more than 3,500 organisations to reduce cost while improving efficiency and compliance.

Francisco Partners Management, a technology-focused private equity investment firm, has closed the Agility Fund, a USD600 million fund targeting smaller tech deals.
“Our natural process of meeting companies has consistently produced very interesting opportunities that may be too small for our main funds. Tikehau Capital is to manage the investments of Lyxor’s European senior debt funds in a deal which expands Tikehau’s leveraged loans and CLO business from EUR1.9 billion in assets under management to EUR2.6 billion, raising its total AUM to EUR9.8 billion.
Under the terms of the deal, Tikehau Investment Management, the asset management arm of Tikehau Capital, will replace Lyxor UK as investment manager of Lyxor’s four European senior debt funds, with a total of EUR700 million in AUM.
