Legal & General Capital (LGC) has backed a second fund by Pemberton which plans to lend GBP500 million to mid-sized UK businesses to support their growth.
The commitment follows LGC’s investment in Pemberton’s first, pan-European fund which has currently raised around EUR1billion and has already invested over GBP180 million into UK firms.
Pemberton expects to hold a first close of the new fund before the end of 2016.

Launched earlier this year, the IGV service has been developed by Modern Energy Management, in collaboration with international law firm Watson, Farley & Williams and global insurance broker JLT Specialty.
Developed exclusively for financiers and investors operating in high-growth emerging markets, the service provides ways to reduce operational and capital expenditure and in turn, enhance the creditworthiness of projects.

Murray Devine, a US valuation advisory firm, has appointed Robert A Tribuiani as managing director, head of business development.
Tribuiani will be responsible for developing, executing and managing sales strategies, focusing on Murray Devine’s key end markets, including private equity and venture capital firms, debt and hedge funds, banks and corporations.

Wynnchurch Capital has promoted Frank Hayes to co-managing partner of the firm.
Hayes has more than 28 years of experience in private equity investing and corporate finance, as well as investment origination and portfolio management.
Hayes joined Wynnchurch in 2001 and has served as a partner since that time. He currently serves on the board of directors of Carson Air, Gypsum Technologies, Pro-Fab Group, Senco, and Texas Hydraulics.

Chinese internet search provider Baidu is the lead investor in Easterly Ventures, a new USD60 million Brazil-based investment fund.
Easterly Ventures will focus on providing funding, technology, local traffic and industry expertise for Brazilian tech start-ups, with the goal of building a robust mobile service ecosystem in Latin America.
