Manulife Investments is introducing the Manulife International Equity Private Trust and a Series F for the Manulife Dollar-Cost Averaging Fund (DCAF). The Manulife International Equity Private Trust will be part of the Manulife Private Investment Pools, which now has a lower minimum entry point of USD100,000.    Launched in December 2012, Manulife Private Investment Pools offer investment pools spanning a range of asset classes.    The portfolios are managed by asset managers at Manulife Asset Management and Mawer Investment Management. Noerr has advised the Chinese company Shenyang Blue Silver Group (SBS Group) on a strategic investment in Germany, with the engineering and machinery company expected to acquire 85 per cent of the shares in the Dürr Ecoclean Group at the end of the year. With annual sales of around EUR200 million, Dürr Ecoclean specialises in surface processing systems for industrial parts.   SBS will acquire the shares via its listed subsidiary Shenyang Blue Silver Industry Automation Equipment Co. The industrial group has sales revenues of EUR200 million and a workforce of 700.   The transaction is still subject to approval
A waste management firm operating across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset has received a GBP2 million investment from BGF (Business Growth Fund) alongside an additional GBP1.75 million of funding from HSBC to pursue growth. The capital will be used to support the continued geographical expansion of Drainology across the South West.   Drainology, which carries out expert drain repair and surveys, is owned by Wales Environmental. Wales Environmental was founded in 1980 and provides liquid waste removal and drainage services to commercial and domestic customers. The first half of 2016 has seen an overall shift towards larger private equity deals with total deal value up 2 per cent and volume slipping by 17 per cent, according to SL Capital’s Q2 2016 Private Equity Barometer. Funds affiliated with private equity firm Warburg Pincus have agreed to make a minority invesyment of USD255 million in BlueGrace Logistics, a private third-party logistics provider based in Tampa, Florida. BlueGrace intends to use the funding to fuel the rapid growth of the business, including hiring 500-700 new employees, accelerating its national expansion plans and pursuing strategic acquisitions.   BlueGrace is presently building out the remainder of its 55,000 square feet of headquarters space in Riverview, Florida, and is scouting for more space across Tampa Bay. BlueGrace expects to significantly increase employment in Tampa, Chicago, Boston and other markets.

Press Ganey, a healthcare performance improvement company, is to be acquired by EQT Equity fund EQT VII, part of the global private equity group EQT. Under the terms of the agreement, EQT will acquire all of Press Ganey’s common stock.   Shareholders of record will receive USD40.50 in cash per share of Press Ganey common stock, resulting in an enterprise value of approximately USD2.35 billion.   The offer price represents a 20 per cent premium to the year to date volume-weighted average price and a 62 per cent premium to the initial public offering price for the common stock.
