Macquarie Investment Management (MIM), the investment management arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Dominic Janssens as the firm’s new global chief operations officer, based at its global headquarters in Philadelphia.
In this role, Janssens’ responsibilities will include developing the strategy to optimise and scale MIM’s global platform in areas including investment operations, administration, controls, fund accounting, business management and financial and management analysis.
Janssens will join the organisation on 4 April and will report to Ben Bruck, the global head of Macquarie Investment Management and the chairman of Delaware Investments. While based in Philadelphia, he will oversee MIM’s operational
SL Capital Partners has entered into an agreement to manage Aviva Investors’ private equity portfolio from 1 February 2016. SL Capital is a subsidiary of Standard Life Investments.
With the majority of the private equity portfolio in run-off, Aviva Investors has taken the decision to delegate the management and monitoring of the portfolio to SL Capital, while the economic interests remain with Aviva Group clients. The European Commission must prioritise non-bank finance and deeper capital markets as part of its regulatory review, according to the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).
AIMA made the comments in its response to the European Commission’s Call for Evidence on the EU regulatory framework for financial services, published in September 2015.
In its response, AIMA explains that capital market financing is more long-term and transparent, encourages greater innovation and discipline, which leads to better allocation of resources and economic growth.
However, regulatory barriers still prevent capital markets and non-banking finance from developing further in the EU.

BGF has invested GBP2 million in Castleton Technology (LSE: CTP) the software and managed services provider to the public and not-for-profit sectors, to support the acquisition of Kypera Holdings Limited and Castleton’s longer term growth strategy.
At the same time, the Group’s existing investor MXC Capital has invested GBP1.5 million while Barclays has extended it bank facilities by a further GBP1 million.

Franklin Square Capital Partners, a manager of business development companies (BDCs), has originated a unitranche term loan for PSKW, LLC (PSKW), a developer and marketer of co-pay assistance (CPA) programs for pharmaceutical drugs.
The financing supported the acquisition of PSKW by Genstar Capital (Genstar), a San Francisco, CA-based private equity investment firm focused on actively investing in high-quality companies for more than 20 years. In addition, the financing also supported PSKW's add-on acquisition of PDR Network, LLC, a provider of behaviour-based prescription management programs.

Prior to Avedon, he worked at McKinsey&Company for eight years, focusing on strategic and corporate finance related projects. Prior to this, Gerritjan worked at ING and was also a member of the Dutch rowing team, and has competed in several World Championships and Olympic Games.
