UMB Fund Services (UMBFS) has launched a mobile app for its proprietary alternative investment fund accounting and investor servicing technology called UMB Fund Services FastPro.
The app, which is live on Android and Apple iOS operating systems, allows clients to view historical data and reports, investor demographics and fund performance information at anytime, anywhere an internet connection is available. The FastPro platform had previously only been available via web browser.

Law firm Bond Dickinson has advised longstanding client and specialist consumer investor Piper on its GBP6 million investment in Forthglade Foods Limited, the Devon-based pet food company.
Piper is a specialist private equity firm focused on investments in consumer brands with strong growth potential in retail, leisure, consumer products and consumer services. Private investment firm Enhanced Capital and FocusPoint Private Capital Group (FocusPoint), a FINRA member focused on private capital raising, have formed Enhanced FocusPoint (EFP), a partnership to source, seed and launch a series of private investment funds.

Swarm64 AS, a data acceleration company from Oslo and Berlin, has raised a total of up to EUR7.1 million from lead investors Alliance Venture, Target Partners and Investinor. The funds will be used for market entry, building out the team and to set up operations in the US market.

Genstar Capital and Aquiline Capital Partners are to acquire Ascensus Inc. from JC Flowers & Co. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, following regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
