Audax Private Equity and Moelis Capital Partners (MCP) have completed the sale of Quest Construction Products (QCP) to Building Materials Corporation of America.
Upon closing, Audax and MCP will have fully exited their investments in Quest, following the sale of the Quest Automotive Products and Quest Industrial Products divisions to The Valspar Corporation earlier this year.
QCP manufactures and supplies roofing systems, coatings solutions, and protective pavement systems for the non-residential construction industry under the Hydro-Stop, United, and StreetBond brands. Jeff Mazer and Katya Baron have joined Aequitas Capital as senior managing director of capital markets and treasury, and managing director of capital markets, respectively.
Mazer has more than 30 years of financial services industry experience. He most recently served as a director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Global Liquidity Investment Solutions unit, where he led a team that helped deliver investment management solutions for clients with approximately USD63 billion in assets.

Scepter Partners, a standing syndicate of sovereign investors and ultra-high net worth families, has formed a core merchant banking division with veteran investment banker Anthony J Steains and his former Blackstone Advisory Partners Asia team.
Steains will lead all merchant banking activities of Scepter, which will consist of syndication, structuring and execution.

NB Private Equity Partners has reported a 2.6 per cent increase in Net Asset Value (NAV) during the first six months of 2015 to USD713.0 million (31 December 2014: USD694.8 million).
The increase has been driven by unrealised gains on public and private equity holdings as well as cash and payment-in-kind (PIK) interest on the firm’s income investment portfolio.
NBPE’s NAV increase of USD45.1 million during the six months included:
• USD42.9 million of realised gains, or USD0.88 per Share, net of tax expense
• USD14.6 million of unrealised losses, or (USD0.30) per Share, net of tax expense
Energy-focused private equity firm Denham Capital and Nexif, a Singapore-based independent power management company, are teaming up to develop, finance, construct and acquire conventional and renewable power generation assets across Southeast Asia.
The platform marks a return to the region for Denham and builds upon Nexif’s strong experience and relationship base.
