TICC Capital Corp’s investment adviser, TICC Management is to be acquired by Benefit Street Partners (BSP).
BSP intends to expand TICC's investment strategy to primarily focus on private debt investments. BSP is the credit investment arm of Providence Equity Partners, a leading global private equity firm. BSP and affiliates manage over USD10 billion in assets across a broad range of credit strategies including high yield, levered loans, private / opportunistic debt, liquid credit, structured credit and commercial real estate debt.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has added two new partners to the firm’s Global Corporate practice with the arrival of Robert Kennedy and Brien Wassner in the New York office.
Both were previously partners in the New York office of Jones Day.
Kennedy’s practice consists primarily of public and private M&A work, with a focus on private equity transactions, including portfolio company acquisitions and joint ventures. His industry experience is extensive, with a long deal list spanning healthcare, communications, energy, commodities, and financial services. He also advises on corporate governance matters.

Previously Unger was the CFO/COO of CCMP Capital Advisors. Prior to that, he was CFO of UBS Capital Americas. Unger started his career with Ernst & Young. He received his BS, Accounting from Lehigh University and his MBA, Finance from Columbia Business School. He is a resident of Livingston, NJ.

Law firm Shoosmiths has advised venture capital firm, MMC Ventures, on the firm’s GBP2.5m investment in online floristry business, Bloom & Wild, in a Series A funding round.
Venture capital firm MMC, which has been backing early-stage, high-growth companies since 2000, joins existing angel investors including Catamaran Ventures and Samos who also participated in the round.

EQT’s seventh fund for private equity investments focused primarily on Northern Europe, EQT VII, has been closed at the hard cap of EUR6.75 billion on 31 July, 2015.
Interest from both existing and prospective investors was strong and the fund was significantly oversubscribed. More than 70 per cent of the commitments to EQT VII were made by investors in prior EQT funds, confirming the strength of being an integrated alternative investment firm with a broad offering of investment strategies.
