Tullett Prebon Alternative Investments (TPAI) has developed and launched a screen-based matching engine called TP-AIME (Tullett Prebon Alternative Investments Matching Engine) to better facilitate transactions in alternative investments.
In addition to functioning as a price discovery and matching engine, the screen also facilitates auctions in hedge fund, private equity and real estate fund interests.
Secondary transactions in fund interests tend to be opaque. However, TPAI believes technological innovation will, in time, lead to a more robust marketplace. With thatgoal in mind, TP-AIME has been developed to increase transparency, simplify the arranging of transactions and make trade-settlement more efficient.
International Capital Flows, a report commissioned by the States of Guernsey and supported by Guernsey Finance, has analysed the economic benefits provided to the UK and Europe by the Guernsey funds market.
The majority of the inward investment is deployed into long-term tangible assets, including private equity, infrastructure and commercial property. All of these asset classes can provide economic and social benefits to the UK.

Raphael Weiner has joined Munich-based venture capital firm Target Partners as an associate. Weiner will support the team in handling all tasks related to startup investments, from deal flow to the investment process right through to portfolio management.
In 2009, Weiner became one of the first employees at Scoreloop, a mobile social gaming platform funded by Target Partners. JTC has assisted Digby Wells Environmental (Jersey) Limited to set up in the Channel Islands by providing company and relocation services.
Digby Wells made the decision to move to Jersey following a visit to the 2014 Mining Indaba conference in South Africa which is held annually in February.

Mission Bay Capital, a seed-stage venture firm investing in life science companies emerging from the University of California and the San Francisco Bay Area ecosystem, has closed MBC Fund II at USD25 million.
MBC was created in August 2009 by QB3, a University of California research institute and accelerator.

CIT Group has served as Sole Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent in a USD90 million senior secured credit facility to support vXchnge Holdings’ (vXchnge) acquisition of eight datacenters.
vXchnge is a portfolio company of The Stephens Group, a private equity firm located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Financing was provided by CIT Bank, the U.S. commercial bank subsidiary of CIT.
