KKR has formed a new joint venture with Monterra Energy to pursue investments in the midstream energy sector in Mexico.  Under the agreement, KKR is making an equity commitment to Monterra for the development of new projects and acquisition of midstream assets and businesses. Financial terms and details of the partnership have not been disclosed. Monterra was founded in 2014 by Arturo Vivar and Michael A. Abcodia has raised GBP5.25 million funding from existing and new investors to bring the world’s most sensitive and specific ovarian cancer screening test, ROCA to market. The financing was co-led by Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC) and Scottish Equity Partners (SEP), who join existing investors Albion Ventures and UCL Business.
