HIG Middle Market (HIG), the dedicated middle market investment affiliate of HIG Capital, has completed the sale of Dent Wizard International to Gridiron Capital Dent Wizard, based in St Louis, Missouri, specialises in automotive reconditioning. Its services help its customers sell vehicles faster and at a higher profit. In November 2010, HIG acquired Dent Wizard through a complex carve-out from Manheim and recruited a new management team. Affiliates of investment funds managed by Oaktree Capital Managementt have completed the acquisition of Pulse Electronics Corporation. Oaktree invested a total of USD17.0 million in Pulse and subsequently acquired 100 per cent of its outstanding shares, making Pulse a private company. As a result of the transaction closing, Pulse’s stock will no longer trade in any public market. Patron Capital Partners’ UK forecourt business, Motor Fuel Group (MFG), which is owned in partnership with Alasdaie Locke, has acquired 90 petrol filling stations from Shell for an undisclosed fee. Of the 90 sites, 53 per cent are located in the South East of England, including 21 sites in London.  This acquisition brings the total number of petrol filling stations that will be owned by MFG to 373, making it one of the largest independent fuel station operators in the UK.
