IK Investment Partners’ IK 2007 Fund is to sell EPiServer to Accel – KKR (AKKR), a technology-focused private equity firm specialising in software and IT-enabled businesses.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.

SEI has expanded the regulatory compliance component of its global operating platform to meet Annex IV transparency reporting requirements under the EU’s Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).

The Standard Life European Private Equity Trust’s (SLEPET) net asset value per ordinary share (NAV) rose by 5.8% to 257.4p during the year ended 30 September 2014. The NAV total return to shareholders was 7.7%.
The Company’s portfolio, including net realised gains and income, generated a return of 9.7% during the year. This was after taking account of unrealised foreign exchange losses of 6.3%.
The closing mid-market price of the Company’s ordinary shares on 30 September 2014 was 230.0p, a rise of 16.2% over the year and a discount of 10.6% to NAV.

Business Growth Fund (BGF), the independent company established to help Britain’s growing businesses, has invested GBP7.5m growth capital in J&B Recycling.
This is the first Teesside investment from BGF, which has a regional investment team based in Leeds. It follows an GBP8m investment previously made into Durham-based community pubs estate, Wear Inns.

Nexthink, a provider of End-user IT Analytics, has secured USD14.5 million in a Series D round of funding, led by Auriga Partners with participation from new investor and entrepreneur Gilles Queru and existing investors VI Partners and Mannai Corporation.
Nexthink has raised USD29 million to date and plans to use the new funding to scale internationally, while further investing in the development of End-user IT Analytics solutions for mobility and cloud.

RFA (Richard Fleishman & Associates) has appointed George Ralph as Managing Director of RFA UK. The firm has also announced it's intention to open two new data centres in January.

Carne Group has made two hires in its Irish office to support the increasing demand for its AIFMD management company services, including its independent ‘mancos’ in Ireland, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands.
Neil Clifford joins Carne from Irish Life Investment Managers where he was Head of Alternatives and oversaw an external hedge funds portfolio. He has also supervised ILIM’s illiquid investments in private equity and infrastructure, including acting as an independent director on a number of investee companies. Neil is a former equity fund manager and a qualified risk management professional.

New investment platform Three Hills Capital Partners has made an investment in nylon fibre producer shortly after closing a EUR100 million debut fund at the hard cap.
This latest preferred equity investment of EUR22 million has been made into Aquafil, the market leading European producer of nylon fibres for textile flooring and apparel, enabling the CEO Giulio Bonazzi to buy out the existing minority shareholders. This is a third investment for Three Hills Capital which has already committed approximately EUR30 million to burger chain Byron (October 2013) and Italian software company Dedalus (December 2013). Palatine Private Equity has backed Character World, a UK-based licensed bedding specialist, in a GBP36m secondary management buyout.
The Cheadle-based company, which employs 74 UK staff and eight in China, is led by brothers Mark and Danny Schweiger. The deal sees an exit for RJD Partners who funded a management buyout with the Schweigers in 2008.
