Yellow&Blue Investment Management, ABB Technology Ventures and b-to-v Partners have invested EUR4.8m in ROMO Wind along with the founders of the wind farm optimisation company.
Yellow&Blue, a specialised clean-energy venture capital investor backed by Nuon/Vattenfall and headquartered in the Netherlands, led the investment. It invested alongside ABB Technology Ventures, the venture arm of ABB, a power and automation technology group and global supplier to the wind industry. b-to-v is a venture capital investor backed by a network of 200 entrepreneurial private investors investing across different industries including renewable energy.

Peterson Partners has added Matthew Day, former managing partner at Black Opal Equity, as a principal on its investment team.
In this position, Day will play an instrumental role in identifying sound investments that enhance the company’s portfolio. Day will also work with portfolio company management teams to accelerate growth.

Lazard has appointed Ken Oliver Fritz as a managing director and co-head of investment banking in Germany.
He will serve as co-head with Eric Fellhauer, who has been a member of Lazard Investment Banking’s senior leadership team in Germany since 2006.
Fritz joins Lazard from Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director and head of investment banking for Germany and Austria, responsible for M&A, equity and debt capital market transactions.

HarbourVest Global Private Equity, a closed-end investment company, has extended its multi-currency credit facility with LloydsTSB Bank.
The company’s existing USD500m credit facility expires in December 2014.
HVPE has refinanced the credit facility, which will remain at USD500m until December 2014 and reduce to USD300m thereafter. The new facility, which contains similar covenants as the existing facility, is now set to expire in April 2018.

The initial development work on Sitedesk Dabit was commissioned by construction entrepreneurs Paul Grady and Danny Doohan, who saw the opportunity for a tool that bridged the gap between architects’ 3D models and the on-site project manager.

Euro Car Parts, the UK’s largest car and van parts distributor, has agreed to merge with Netherlands based Sator Holding to create one of Europe’s largest car parts distributors.
The merger has been financed by LKQ Corporation, the largest provider of aftermarket and recycled collision replacement parts and refurbished collision replacement products in the US and Canada.
LKQ has acquired Sator Beheer BV, also known as Sator Holding, from H2 Equity Partners, effective from 1 May 2013. The purchase price is approximately USD268.4m (GBP176m).

Small transactions (under GBP10m) dominated the UK equity capital markets and M&A market in Q1 2013, increasing by 6.3 per cent from 319 in Q1 2012 to 357 deals in Q1 2013, according to Experian.
The increase can largely be attributed to a substantial upturn in the volume of smaller scale equity fundraising from UK public companies, which increased transactions from 116 worth GBP225m in Q1 2012 to 225 worth GBP334m in Q1 2013.

Advise Technologies, a software solutions provider for regulatory compliance, will offer the first CPO-PQR e-filing platform to the National Futures Association (NFA) EasyFile portal.
This will be the first time that filing electronically is possible for Form CPO-PQR.
Advise has worked closely with the NFA and several clients in the NFA’s pilot e-filing programme. Following successful testing in the pilot programme, the CPO-PQR add-on module is featured as part of Advise’s Consensus RMS platform and provides commodity pool operators (CPOs) an efficient and secure resource for filing Form CPO-PQR.

The venture capital trust (VCT) sector raised GBP402.5m in the 2012/13 tax year (value of new shares issued), according to figures published by the Association of Investment Companies (AIC).
This is up 22 per cent on the previous tax year (GBP330.9m).
Excluding enhanced share buy backs, the VCT sector raised GBP269.2m in the 2012/13 tax year compared to GBP267.4m raised in the previous tax year.
