OFI InfraVia’s first infrastructure fund, InfraVia, has completed the acquisition of a 55 per cent interest in ADTiM previously owned by ETDE, Axione and Eiffage. The remaining 45 per cent interests are held by Caisse des Dépots (30 per cent) and ETDE/Axione (15 per cent). Senior project financing debt has been has also been successfully raised from groupe Crédit Agricole to finance the acquisition. ADTiM is the owner and operator a fibre optic network operating under a 25-year concession with the departments of Drome and Ardeche. SR Labs, a provider of electronic-trading solutions for the global financial services industry, has completed a USD53m investment from Insight Venture Partners. SR Labs plans to use the capital to expand its sales and marketing operations, to accelerate its growth outside of North America, and to continue to fund product innovation. To further those goals, SR Labs has opened a new development centre in Pune, India, to support its customers in Asia Pacific and Europe, where systematic trading is growing rapidly. Private equity firm MidOcean Partners has acquired a majority equity position in Agilex Flavors & Fragrances, a creator and manufacturer of fragrances for use in consumer products.  Agilex was previously owned by Nautic Partners, a middle market private firm.  Headquartered in Piscataway, New Jersey, Agilex was created by combining several unique fragrance houses with diverse strengths and capabilities. Optimism about the economy built slowly but steadily in the second half of 2012 among US small and mid-sized businesses, some of which are likely to seek more credit in 2013 as they become increasingly confident in business fundamentals. A new Greenwich Market Pulse revealed that owners and executives of 40 per cent of small businesses and 37 per cent of mid-sized companies reported that the current environment has actually had a positive impact on their business. Merseyside-based Ultromex has secured GBP550,000 funding from The North West Fund for Energy & Environmental, managed by CT Investment Partners. Ultromex has developed processes for the recovery of high-value metals from electronic and industrial waste products. The company, which was founded by Jonathan Quinn and Harry Middleton in 2011, aims to increase turnover to GBP10m by 2016. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
