Eamonn McConnell and John H Walker have joined Kensington Capital Partners as managing directors.
McConnell has lead responsibility for the Kensington Hedge Fund, while Walker leads Kensington’s infrastructure business.
Together with current Kensington managing directors Tom Kennedy and Rick Nathan, McConnell and Walker serve on the Kensington Investment Committee responsible for all investment decisions of the Kensington Funds.

Tervinder Chal has joined Alter Domus as country leader of the firm’s Singapore office.
In recent years, as part of its Asia growth strategy, Alter Domus has expanded its presence in the region.
Singapore is an increasingly important destination for the fund management industry and multinational corporations. The Alter Domus Singapore office will provide corporate management and fund administration services to clients located there and across the entire region.

The AIM-quoted investment group China Private Equity Investments Holdings Limited (CPE) has agreed to develop a strategic partnership with Hong Kong-based Gen2 Capital Partners Limited, an independent asset management firm with assets under management of approximately USD500million.
The move is intended to boost CPE’s growth potential by marrying its own private equity experience with Gen2’s proven investment and risk management processes in the Greater China region.
As part of the agreement, CPE intends to appoint David Kiang, a Gen2 senior advisor, to the CPE Board as a Non-Executive Director.

The new ownership sees both Andrew and Adrian Hancock step back from the company.

Doug Lawson has joined Lazard Middle Market as a managing director and head of packaging within its industrials group.
He is based in Chicago.
“Doug has established a national reputation in the packaging sector, having advised on many of the most notable middle market transactions in the sector in recent years,” says Bob Frost, head of the industrial group for Lazard Middle Market.
Lawson’s investment banking experience include numerous sale and buy-side advisory mandates, leveraged buyouts, and fairness opinions for a wide variety of clients, including private equity groups, public companies, and privately owned businesses.
